Earnings per share

Adjusted for special items relating to the acquisition of APP Pharmaceuticals, the Fresenius Group achieved adjusted earnings per ordinary share of € 3.18 and adjusted earnings per preference share of € 3.19 in 2009 (2008 adjusted: € 2.85 per ordinary share; € 2.86 per preference share).
